A look back on 2014

P & A Urban Forestry Consulting Ltd. celebrated its one year anniversary this month. As we look back on 2014, we thank each of our clients for your continued support of our new business. Last year was a big one for us, as well as for trees and the urban forest in general in Southern Ontario.

We began 2014 with an unforgettable ice storm in Southern Ontario. The effects of this storm are still being felt today and can be seen throughout forested areas.

For the first time, P & A participated in the Richmond Hill Heritage Village Day in June. We met lots of people from the community and had tons of fun. Our little spruce trees from that day are still doing great! We hope to participate again this year.

Emerald Ash borer continued to make the news in 2014. Some newly impacted areas are Peterborough and the City of Kawartha Lakes, with more areas likely to be impacted in this coming year.

Our President, Peter Wynnyczuk, was published in three publications: Municipal World, Ontario Professional Surveyor (twice!) and the Cabbagetown Preservation Association Newsletter.

We take great pride in our family-run business, and hope that P & A will continue to be at the top of your list when calling a professional Urban Forestry Consulting firm.
