We got our first summer storm on Tuesday. How did your trees fare?
The Richmond Hill Heritage Village Festival last weekend was a great success. We were able to meet and talk to so many wonderful members of the community. There were many conversations had about the ice storm and Emerald Ash Borer. It seems most of the damage from the ice storm hasn’t yet been death with, and knowledge about Emerald Ash Borer is not quite widespread yet. We were able to give out a lot of literature and spread some further information about the perils affecting our trees.
We completed our three prize draws as well, for our gardening gift basket, a delicious basket provided by The Epicure Shop, and a free tree assessment by Peter himself! We had many entries, and our winners will be to come.
A special thank you to Bahareh Adham and Vanessa Junior, both of whom helped out greatly that day, to Katrina Kostin for making our posters, and to Mishi Abolghasem for taking some of the awesome photos.
Can’t wait to do this again next year!
